How to start....the IPTV way of life?

Hopefully put this in the right area!

So finally realised that IPTV is the way to go!
Some that have done this for years may say about time, but now the quandary, as I know very little about IPTV where do I start?

Please bear in mind, I'm a newbie, so may not ask the right question.

I have 1 month from today to get IPTV up and running, which includes finding and setting up all the right parts.

I think I need :-
An android box
An app for IPTV
Do I need a VPN?
A subscription for IPTV
Possibly a new broadband provider.

How do I provide it to at least 2 possibly 3 tv's?

Then comes the question of how to setup the app to allow favourite channels to be setup with an epg for easy viewing.

So first place to start Android box do I need a 4k one or do they upscale to 4k?

Should I run it through a VPN, never used one, and know about as much as IPTV about them!?

Where can I see information about apps for IPTV, done searches and got no real information about them, except them praising themselves, with no real pictures (screenshots of their products) of what they are providing.
Used SmartersPro IPTV app on Samsung Smart TV, thought layout was poor, as used for a trial and one for Samsung tvs, buffered a few times presumably as tv was connected via WiFi.

Think that's all for now.

This thread is a very good place to start to pick up the basics many of your question answered in the thread.

Yes seen that post, but head still spinning from it, I'll read through it again.
Only registered today but been reading the forum for a few months.

PS why has my introduction been deleted for asking a question when no question was asked in the introduction?

You will need a box for each Tv , you will need a subscription , your provider will provide you with details how to get the app and provide log in details. They will let you know if a vpn is needed ,they may well provide one , if not it’s best to be prepared and have one , can be bought very cheaply using cashback sites and it’s just a case of installing an app like it is on your phone. You can get a Multiroom subscription . New broadband provider probs not req’d . Very easy to setup once you have done it , again your provider should give you instructions. Try googling your questions with the term Troypoint in front of them or you tube them.
Get a box , set it up , then get a a test sub.

Only no question was asked, but it did detail why I'm now on here.

The introduction section is exactly that.
You thread title was "Newbie, probably with more than a few questions". You were asking about IPTV. You don't ask about IPTV in the intro section.
Precisely I'm a newbie, and during my time on this forum I'll probably have more than a few questions, which was the title of my introduction.
1st post asking question(s) has already been posted, but all introduction information was, was how I ended up here, not a question in there, yet it was deleted.

My introduction was what we have currently and why we are changing, did anyone actually read the text before assuming that a question was posed?

The introduction was there if anyone was interested where we were coming from, it may not have been necessary but it was written in full as an explanation, nothing more.

I'm just trying to understand why it was deleted!
Could understand if there was a question in there, but if you see my 2nd introduction I'm saying it was deleted for asking a question when none was asked.

With the introduction you only need to say, Hi I'm John Smith etc glad to apart of this friendly forum. Anything else post in the correct thread and people will help accordingly,.

Put it behind you and move on.
Do plenty of searching in the search bar, if you get stuck shout. In the words of Mrs Doubtfire. Help is on the way

You asked a question in an introduction section. Do you want to continue questioning how we run the site or would you like to get the information you came here for?
No question, but a statement
"So I'm here to ask" ....(insert in the relevant sections of this forum) ...in my new venture, ...parts of the forum
As this is part of my introduction.
This is to be read as a whole sentence, with no question....therefore a statement!

Proof of which can be seen as the original post in this thread are my question(s) with a ?!

But as @plasterer said forget about it and move on, which I'm agreeing with (although it irks me).

Apologies if I've offended anyone.

Not off to the best start is he HT 😗

He'd rather argue about about why we deleted his intro, that did break the rules. Than get on with the reason he is here.

Forget the fact that with his post. He will get members contacting him offering shit subs from those that don't follow the rules.
Then complain to us that "it's gone off" in a couple of months and expect us to do something about it.

Then he wants me to explain to him why I've deleted it. I've not got the time.

The rules are there for a reason.
