Octagon sf8008 box factory default?

Hello all, I have given up on satellite TV (for now). I want to restore my Octagon box to the factory default settings so I can sell it on as I now have no use for it, I have deleted the images on the USB hard drive, but when I start the box it only gets to the Octagon screen (says boot on the front screen) and then seems to hang, any ideas?

Its possibly looking for a USB image to boot from.

Try this in telnet

cd /boot
cp STARTUP_1 STARTUP
reboot

If not.

You can try the recovery menu.
To get to the recovery menu, use the following procedure:

1. Switch off the box
2. Press and hold any button on the remote control
3. Switch on the box at the power switch
4. After 6-7 seconds, release the button on the remote control
5. Then you will enter recovery mode


If the above do not work best option for you is to flash the box with a fresh image of your choice.
