Broadband Retentions leaving Virgin question - Price increase

I'm due to renegotiate in July as I'm due up in August, this should be fun.

If the wife didn't want to keep the pile of sh*t TiVo to record her crap I'd go BB only

Yeah we are broadband only. If it's virgin look around before you phone them for the cheapest deal you can find.

Then tell them to beat it if the customer service person dosent leave it. They will phone you back if you have been with them a while

Also when they didn’t give a me decent deal I would cancel and sigh up in my Mrs name and get one of their new customer deals.
Did this a couple of times in the past but did have to change the router over and send one back because they are linked to each account holder but free to do.

Not sure what their policy is for a new service at an address that recently had a service at it because it’s been a few years since I did it last.

We have renewed contract about 3 times and never needed to sign up with different name. Last time we went from 320 to 1gig and also £10 cheaper.

we will just sign up when18 months is up before price rise is due.

So you cancelled your contract and sighed up as a new customer in the same name?

contract was due to expire so yes , its not as if we kept same contract 320 that was more costly.
But as I said it has always been in my wifes name , I think the problem referring to signing up with other name would be due to cancelling contract early.

I meant giving 30 days notice at the end of a contract and signing up as a new customer with one of their new customers deals that sometimes they wouldn’t offer me because it was only for new customers. So I would give my 30 days notice and my Mrs would sign as a new customer in her name and vice versa.

Cracking deal that, I thought I could get it since I'm in a CF area but it's showing as unavailable.
Yes great deal. I got a leaflet recently for the offer, but Toob wasn’t available for me and has only become available recently in my area.
I am still in contact but it’s one of the best deals I have seen from CF provider.
The Toob also gets great reviews on Trustpilot so will definitely consider them when my contract is up.

I was wrong I Just asked the wife she said she just phones them up saying it is getting dearer and can hardly afford it and woman just says to her she will look and see what new deals are available .

Eventually it will get to a point when you ring up and they don't offer you a deal to stay. Been with them forever and had to stick with them as cheaper than BT , but this year would not offer us anything . Moved to Youfibre.
