Looking for basic freesat/Saoirview box

As the thread title suggests, I'm looking for a recommendation for a basic box for freesat and Saoirview. It is for a friend's holiday home which has a dish, but no Internet, so it won't need extra processing power for IPTV.

I gave her an old Zgemma H2S, and she's loving all the free channels. I need to find something similar for the bedroom.
I was looking at the Zgemma H8.2H which has one sat and one cable tuner (if I'm reading it correctly)
It costs £49, and i don't really want to spend much more, if possible, but will if needed.

All info/suggestions gratefully accepted, cheers.

wheelo, I have an old Zgemma h2s if that helps only problem is , I do not have remote control used that to replace one on my zgemma h9 combo. will gladly post it if any good for a spare device but , as you know not good for iptv.

Edit just noticed you do not need iptv.
So if you can pick up a zgemma remote then sorted. If thats ok I will post if you pass on details.

Remote control for those are peanuts urie. Only trouble is the shipping charges as wheelo is over in Eire

I don’t think you’ll get much cheaper for an zgemma unless you look at second hand options though eBay or Facebook marketplace.

The Gt media v7 pro has a satellite and terrestrial tuner. They’re about £20/25 on Ali Express. Although I don’t think you’ll get the 7-day epg like you get with an enigma 2 receiver.

Yes moshi I know the remotes are peanuts , shipping charges I forgot about, But offer is still there ,as if I did not get a surprise with nearly 80 euro for my new gigablue pro when I bought from impex thinking I was getting a deal at the time with 10% off would have been a lot cheaper here but at that time not available mind you I also nearly waited 6 months after paying for it because terestrial tuners were not available. 😢

Postage can cost as much as a new device I found out the hard way.

One of the old style Sky hd mini box would be a good bet, I had one in the bedroom before changing the TV to LG 4K that had built-in Freesat.
I picked it up on eBay for £25 complete with HDMI cable and sky handset.
They normally come with a card enabled to Freesat and cheap

Thanks @urie , but moshing is spot on, postage is one thing, but seeing as you guys are out of the EU, the customs charges would be mad even though the box is as old as it is. I'd have to go about proving it is relatively worthless.
@Toddy2 that would be an option, but again, it would cost stupid money as postage and customs would eat up any value. I don't think the mini was distributed over here , so would have you come from the UK. Plus it can't do Saoirview (free view/cable)
@droxyeah, enigma 2 is the way forward.

I'm just more wondering would the 8h2h be a value box (not cheap, but value)?

Isn’t there a threshold, which if you’re below, you don’t pay any customs?

I’m not sure how strict your border force are, but given that it’s an old zgemma, it’s probably only worth a fiver and urie could mark that on the customs declaration.

International tracked to Ireland is only £8.65 via Royal Mail.

I tried this approach but customs wanted 32 euro to allow the parcel to go through. It was only a Dcolor GD1 stick cost £25.

Alternatively, you could perhaps find a user on this site who is local to you and supports man utd and ban them unless they donate an old box 😆

Did you sell the stick or was it a gift? Also, the stick would be considered as apparatus for accessing online apps or whatever, whereas the zgemma would be under reception apparatus for television

Put it down as a gift

Its a bit of a pain in the butt sending packages over to europe now. I sometimes have to do this for work and creating a commercial invoice can we long winded. You could try find the tariq code that is zero rated. I wonder if the items was marked down under £10 and marked for repair they would be so bothered. Using the post office though they always seem to add there bit on.

I do not bother any longer to be honest its not worth the cost involved.
