Moving away from firestick

I've never heard of the Homatics r 4k either but have a Formuler z10 pro with two different subs and find it not as good as my 4k Firestick, I get much more buffering with the Formuler box and find it slow responding to channel changes and updating the EPG I also find the colours different when watching the firestick next to the z10 but I guess the colours are an individual thing anyway. But I'll have a look at the Homatics r 4k box as an alternative to my TV in the bedroom

The think the z11 is the preferred choice really unless you need DV.
Hopefully Google fix the interlacing and h.264 codec issue on Android 14 devices.

Where you using MYTV Online on the formuler ? I dont do IPTV full stop these days but when i did i used MyTv Online i and had no issues with buffering or response times to channel changes.

Tivimate and IMPlayer could be problematic on Formulers and there does seem to be a consensus Formuler make it difficult for those 2 players to run smoothly on their devices.

Agree with the above, Had my Z10 pro now for a few years and no issues. I do have it connected via Lan cable rather than wifi. Only advantage I found using TiviMate over MTVO 2 was being able to add custom EPG providers if your sub did had some channels with no EPG info. Also find MTYO 2 records better than Tivi.

I've got one of those Homatics Box R 4k Plus and using it at the moment its a great little box. It can also take a usb c satellite tuner input too. I think i got mine for about £51.00. I even run a 4.2.2 satellite feed through it the other night. I did not handle it well but it did play it :)
Where did you buy it for £51, it's 149 dollars on their website?. Is the plus version much different to the non plus one?

I've to formuler z11 pro max and a z mini. If you are using just WiFi to connect i would say go for a z mini. Just as responsive as the pro max and the only real difference for me is the lack of ethernet support on the z mini

I have a Formuler z11 pro max and mto3 is very good, I also have the Shield as well because I prefer the remote control when experimenting with the different apps. Also I use the Shield for upscaling the low quality content, each have their strengths

I also have mine connected via a Lan cable but will try MTVO2 and see how it goes, thanks all
